Frequently asked questions.
Straight answers about how sourcing with CrossPart Global works — costs, timelines, quality checks, and how suppliers join. Anything else, ask our Sales Team at sales@crosspartglobal.com.
For buyers
What does CrossPart Global cost?
Your first sourcing inquiry is free. For ongoing sourcing, Pro access is $50 USD per month. Separately, when a sourcing deal arranged through us successfully completes, a 2% commission applies — it is always agreed in writing before you commit to a deal. No completed deal means no commission, and deal payment terms are confirmed in writing before any order proceeds.
How does the RFQ process work?
You submit a request for quotation (RFQ) describing the product or part, quantity, destination, and timeline. We identify suitable suppliers, collect quotations, and present a comparison covering price, minimum order quantity, lead time, and terms. You review and approve the quote — nothing is ordered in your name without your approval — and we then support the deal through to completion.
How long does sourcing take?
It depends on the product, the quantity, and how common the item is. Straightforward items with ready suppliers can move quickly; specialized, customized, or certified products take longer because specifications and documentation need to be confirmed. Treat any timeline we discuss as an estimate that can vary — we confirm realistic timings in writing as your inquiry progresses.
What is an MOQ, and can I order small quantities?
MOQ means minimum order quantity — the smallest amount a supplier will accept for an order. MOQs vary widely: some products can be sampled or ordered in small runs, while manufactured items often require larger volumes to be economical. Tell us your target quantity in your RFQ and we will focus on suppliers whose MOQs fit it, and flag it clearly when they do not.
How do you check supplier quality?
We review the information a supplier provides — company details, product documentation, and certifications relevant to the product, such as ISO, CE, or RoHS where applicable — and we clarify specifications before quotations are compared. For important orders we recommend ordering samples first and, where justified, arranging independent inspection before shipment. No sourcing service can guarantee a supplier's performance, which is why verification steps are built into the process before you commit.
Can you estimate freight and the total cost of importing?
Yes. A unit price is only part of what you pay. We provide freight estimates based on the shipment's weight, dimensions, mode (air, sea, or courier), and destination, and we help you think through the full landed cost: product price, freight, insurance, duties based on the product's HS classification, brokerage, and taxes. Estimates are exactly that — estimates — and final carrier and customs charges are confirmed before shipment.
How is my information handled?
Information you send us is used to handle your sourcing inquiry — reviewing it, contacting suppliers on your behalf, and replying to you. We explain what we collect and why in our Privacy Notice. Please do not send confidential drawings, proprietary pricing, or payment details until we confirm a secure way to share them for your specific request.
For suppliers
Who can join as a supplier, and what does listing cost?
Manufacturers, exporters, and authorized distributors in construction materials, electronics, automotive parts, hardware and tools, and industrial equipment are welcome to apply. Joining and listing your products are free — there are no listing fees.
How do I get my products listed?
Email our Sales Team at sales@crosspartglobal.com with your company details and the products you want listed. We confirm the terms with you in writing first. Only after you agree do we publish your products on the website — nothing goes live without your agreement.
When do I pay the 2% commission?
Only when a sourcing deal involving your products successfully completes through CrossPart Global. The 2% commission is agreed in writing before a deal proceeds. If a deal does not complete, there is no commission — and inquiries, quotations, and listing itself are always free.
Where are your buyers located?
CrossPart Global is based in Canada. Buyer inquiries come from several regions, including growing demand from South America and Europe, as well as North America and other markets. Buyers arrive with specific requirements — product, quantity, destination, timeline — and we match them to listed suppliers that fit.
What should I include in my application?
Your company name and website, business location, a product list with categories, minimum order quantities, any certifications you hold (for example ISO, CE, or RoHS), the export markets you serve, and a business contact. The fuller your details, the more accurately we can match you to buyer inquiries. See the Suppliers page for the full guide.
